Technology is shaping the future of every industry, and creating access to these opportunities for First Nations communities is essential for long-term growth, inclusion, and empowerment. Through the Dhalima Cyber Skills Program, Yira Yarkiny Security Services, alongside its sister organisation Intaris, is helping create meaningful pathways for Aboriginal people to enter the rapidly growing fields of Information Technology and Cyber Security.
In partnership with South Metropolitan TAFE, the program has been designed specifically to support Mob through education, mentoring, qualifications, and industry exposure. More than just training, the initiative focuses on building confidence, leadership, and sustainable career opportunities that empower participants to grow professionally while remaining connected to culture and community.
The Dhalima Cyber Skills Program reflects a strong commitment to reconciliation through action. By combining modern cyber education with culturally grounded support systems, the partnership is creating opportunities for First Nations people to become future leaders in technology and digital security. Participants gain practical industry skills, ongoing mentoring, and direct pathways into employment and career progression within one of the world’s fastest-growing industries.
At Yira Yarkiny Group, investing in people means investing in the future. Programs like Dhalima demonstrate how education, technology, and community partnerships can work together to create lasting impact, strengthen communities, and inspire the next generation of Indigenous innovators, leaders, and cyber professionals across Australia.
